The opening event of the SSAC 2022 Annual Conference, held last May in Montreal, featured an in-person relaunch of two books published in honour of Malcolm Thurlby (A Medieval Legacy, edited by Jessica Mace) and Luc Noppen (The Architecture of identity, edited by Lucie K. Morisset). Thurlby and Noppen are long-standing members of the Society.
